1. Start the night before. jot down activities, to-do lists, or things you want to remember in the morning. This will help your brain to let go of it and rest reflect on the day - allow yourself to see the good parts and to seek any forgiveness for the not so good parts and give them to God.
2. Practice Daily Gratitude. before you get out of bed in the morning, think of what you’re grateful for that day. Try to come up with at least 5 specific things. Write them down! A gratitude journal is an amazing way to shift our mindset towards success
3. Visualize Success and Happiness. as your waking up or even as you’re in the shower, imagine yourself in your activities of the day - what is the best possible outcome. Maybe it’s showing only love to your kids or spouse, or showing extra patience during trials, exercising, doing spiritual reading, even doing housework with sense of joy. Imagine yourself just rockin’ it.
4. Decide how you want to show up. Think about the adjectives you most want to describe you - genuine, attentive, present, loving, positive, faithful - whatever it is that you desire for yourself. Maybe they vary at different times of the day. The way you want to show up in the morning with your kids may be different than at work or after school or in the evening after kids are in bed. When you’ve decided on these words, make a note of them in your planner (or as alarms on your phone) at the designated times. This will cue you and your brain to either stay in or shift back to that mode of being.
