The word of God is what keeps us in the mindset to believe beyond this world. In all our plans we can have assurance they will come to pass when we are in His word. He will refine our path and desires. Receiving His word as more than human word is where the power is. His word holds more than we can imagine. It is what binds us to His promises and gives us guidance for everything in our lives. If ever we have doubt or concern for where to go, what to do or what to say His words will give us the direction we seek. Through our belief of His power over everything He can work in and through us for more than this world offers. Our gratitude and praise of Him solidify our belief in what He has said. His words will provide the pathway for our lives and they will fill our lives with the hope we all desire.
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 NIV
When we believe in what God has said we never struggle to find our purpose and direction. Our purpose is made clear through Him. This is why we must stay fit in the teachings of God. Spending daily time in His word will make the direction for our lives clear. We can live without question of where we are going. We can live in certainty because we are rock solid in our belief. If we want to make headway in anything we endeavour to do we must find this solid belief. It can only be found in Him. Through His word we will find endless reserves to labor and strive. Putting our hope in God by making time for Him each day and learning His word will bring us deeper into our belief for the great things that await us in this life.
That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:10 NIV
Considerations for your planner:
- How do you spend time with God each day? Write down what time with God looks like to you.
- Do you have scripture that you know and speak to yourself in your day? Take a moment to find a verse and write it down 3 times to commit it to memory.
A Story of Striving with His Word:
For many years I did not understand why reading the Bible mattered. I would tell myself that it didn’t matter whether I read it or not. I figured I knew how to be a good person and treat others well and that’s all that mattered. I even told others that I had so much blind faith I definitely didn’t need to read the Bible.
However, when life would get tough I didn’t know what to do. My mind would reel and the negative thoughts of this world would consume me. I knew I needed more strength to not continue to find myself in difficult times. It was this realization that led me to finally start reading the Bible.
I have made reading scripture a part of my daily life. I do not dwell or get stuck in difficulty anymore. Knowing God’s word has brought me so much power in my life. I feel consistently clear on my purpose and the direction for my life. I feel strong in who I am and that my life has meaning. I have so much confidence in the plans for my life that I never had before.
