He Will Always Provide

He Will Always Provide

God wants to grant the desires of our hearts. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 NIV We do not have to bargain with Him to receive our needs and wants.

The trusting can be the hard part. Or maybe the world makes us feel silly for asking for certain things. He wants us to ask Him for all things big and small with complete confidence in Him for His provision.

Knowing that God loves us more than we love our own children can help us to trust Him as a child trusts their parents. It is in our childlike ways that we unlearn the ways of the world and we revert to the way God intended us to live. Fully dependent on Him as a child is to their parents.

“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?

Matthew 7:7-11 MSG

Considerations for your planner:

  • Are you trusting in His provision or making a way for your life? Write down how you are trusting Him.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father, We want to speak to You like our best friend. We know You already know us better than we know ourselves. Help us to trust in You to provide for us. Help us to unlearn the ways of the world that tell us we need to make the way for our lives. Let us lean into You for trust in provision. Thank You for being the best parent. We love You! In Your name we pray. Amen.
