Let Us Follow God’s Path

Let Us Follow God’s Path

You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That's right - you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set.

Psalm 119:1-3 MSG

We are blessed when we stay the course. Walking the path that God reveals to us takes courage and bravery. The courage to be patient and not listen to the way the world stays on course.

So much of our lives is run by what we see or who we see. Humans are incredible imitators. It is difficult to not conform to culture. Oftentimes we get caught up in it without even thinking. (Romans 12:2)

We must keep our wits about us. We are only able to live a blessed life when we follow His directions. Following His direction means doing our best to find Him in everything we do.

Let us remember today to not live on autopilot. The routines of the world would have us distracted by our to do list. God’s way has us set our sights on what is going on right in front of us. (Matthew 6:34) This is how we walk straight on the road He has set.

Considerations for your planner:

  • What do you imitate? Write out what your day typically looks like or just take a look at your daily items you write in your planner. Is it possible you are following the path of the world over the road God has set for you?

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father, We want to stay on course. We want to walk the path You have set for us. Help us to not imitate the world. Help us to imitate Jesus. We know the only way to do this is to know how He walked. We pray today that we would lean into Your word more so that our path is well lit. Amen.
