“But as for me.” What a statement. How often do we say this for ourselves? “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord.” This is a statement that should be our automatic in all things.
Watching with hope is how we should wait. Waiting can be difficult, but when we look to Him we are able to wait with hope filled anticipation rather than worry filled angst.
Trusting that God will hear us is also a big part of our worldly battle. Our culture pushes us toward bringing to fruition the things we want rather than waiting for the best timing. The world says now is the best timing.
God knows better than us. He hears all we desire. He knows us better than we know ourselves. (Romans 8:27) Let us watch for Him and wait for His timing in all the things we seek.
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
Micah 7:7 NIV
Considerations for your planner:
- How are you waiting? Do you wait? Write down all the ways you can seek God in the midst of your waiting seasons.
A Prayer for Our Community:
Father, Help us to wait with hope. We want to be filled with all the trust in Your timing. You know better than us. Help us to trust in that. Help us to be counter culture and not seek everything we desire immediately. Rather reshape our minds toward Your ways as we seek You for the path of our lives. In Your name we pray. Amen.
