Committing our ways to God is not something we do just once. It is something we must do continually. It is through our continued efforts of commitment to His ways that we are able to build trust in Him and ourselves through Him. The world is strong and distracting. It will fill us with doubt and confusion. However, when we commit and recommit to God, He will fortify us. He will make us strong against the world’s advances to trick and deceive us. When we are committed to God and trust in His ways we never have to question if everything will come together. We can rest in the assurance that the outcome will be more than we could have ever done by our own hands. In this way we get to move through life with peace and ease, because we have not taken onto ourselves the burden of the outcome.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

A Prayer for Our Community:
Lord God, Help us to commit to You daily. Your ways are the ways we want to follow. We want them to permeate our lives. We know this requires our full attention and commitment. Help us to lean into our trust in You for the outcome, rather than become distracted by what the world tells us we must do in order to receive what we desire. We commit our lives to You today, tomorrow and every day that follows. Amen.
