God is Our Hope

God is Our Hope

Have you ever experienced distress? Distress is described with many different words. Grief, trouble, worry, upset, pain, torture, shock, disturbing, sad, heartbreak, and the list goes on. I don’t know about you, but this list makes me think of hopelessness. Hopelessness is feeling or being in a state of despair, lack of hope. Lack. Of. Hope. This certainly is a reason to be in distress! How can we get out of distress if we are lacking hope? Look for JESUS!!

“Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.”

Psalm 118:5 ESV

Considerations for your planner:

  • How do you look to God in times of distress? Write it out.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father God, I thank you for the peace, comfort and hope that we find when we call on Your name. I pray that in times of distress, that we call on your name oh Lord. There is no one else who can set us free besides You God Almighty. May we look to You in and for all things for our hope is in You. Amen
