His Grace Will Get Us Through Suffering

His Grace Will Get Us Through Suffering

God calls us to His eternal glory all the time. Are we listening? Unfortunately, we do not often stop to listen until we are suffering.

What if we stopped to listen for His call every moment of the day? Would our lives look different? His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). We have every reason to trust that He is and will restore us no matter our circumstances.

However, we should be trusting in Him to restore us before the suffering, not just after. In this way we are made stronger through our suffering. He is growing us to be able to sustain more so that we can do more for His kingdom on earth.

Our growth happens through our suffering. We cannot continue to suffer and grow if we do not have His grace to make us strong, firm and steadfast. The world seeks to destroy us. God seeks to build us up.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

1 Peter 5:10 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • Are you growing through your suffering? Write down something you consider a suffering. Has this suffering happened more than once?

A Prayer for Our Community:

Lord, Help us to yearn for You. We want to do Your work. We need Your grace to fill us up so that we have it for ourselves and in turn have it for others. Please help us to learn from our suffering so that we do not repeat sufferings. Restore us to what You have created us for, as we turn away from what the world has made us into. Amen.
