Our Anticipation Leads to Contentment

Our Anticipation Leads to Contentment

We can anticipate God in every situation. This is why we need to keep our lives free of loving things that take our focus away from Him. Finding contentment in what we have is where God is.

When we anticipate His goodness we are focused on seeking Him everywhere. What we seek we find. He is always with us, but we cannot sense Him unless we are looking for Him.

It is through our contentment in our circumstances that we can be unburdened by the distractions of culture. He is where we learn to humble ourselves in our circumstance and know our need for Him.

It takes humility to let God help us. It takes courage to find contentment in our circumstances. We can trust in God to bring provision to our lives; thus, we can anticipate all goodness for our lives. All this because we know he will never leave us or forsake us.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence. “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • Are you finding contentment in your circumstances? Write down how you view your circumstances and how you anticipate them.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father, Help us to seek you and gain humility to seek you always. We want to have contentment in our circumstances. Fortify us to know that you will not leave us or forsake us. We want to trust in you for the provision of our lives. Help us to not listen to culture, but rather seek you to grow our strength in being humbled to follow your guidance. Amen.
