We have many choices to make each day. Chief among them should be to rejoice and be glad. We have the choice to rejoice and be glad each and every moment of the day. Knowing why we choose anything helps us in making that choice. Why wouldn’t we rejoice and be glad when we know it is because our reward is heaven? Reminding ourselves of the greatness we have access to is what makes rejoicing and being glad as easy as breathing. However, we must remember. This is why God wrote it out for us, so that we can commit it to memory. This reminder is absolutely necessary as we will face the persecution of this world. There are many that have gone before us. We can let their lives be a tangible reminder of what we have to rejoice and be glad for.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

A Prayer for Our Community:
Lord, thank You for giving us this day. Each day is a gift. We want to choose to rejoice and be glad because we know what our reward is. Christ has done the work and we want to follow You all the days of our lives. Help us to remember what is done so that we will choose rejoicing and being glad no matter the circumstances we face. In Your precious name we pray. Amen.
