Rejoicing is Prayer

Rejoicing is Prayer

Finding glory in God’s name should bring us joy. The simplicity of this action can bring so much fulfillment to our days. This is why the following words in scripture are, “let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.” When we find glory in His name we cannot help but rejoice. This is when we feel filled up with joy, peace, and excitement for life. The Holy Spirit is able to flow through us as we share the fruits of the Spirit with others. Living this way helps us to look to God for strength. All things in life come more easily when we seek Him. Remembering to do this will fortify our path in the midst of the obstacles and difficulties the world will undoubtedly put us through. Then we can stand in confidence because we trust God over the world. We believe in the eternal over the tangible.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

1 Chronicles 16:10-12 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • What are the ways you glory in His name? Write them down to remember them when tough times come.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father God, Thank You for all the ways You move in our lives. Let us be conscious of Your presence and lift Your name every time we think of You. We need You interwoven in all that we do and we know this can only happen when we seek You. Help us to remember all that you have already done for us, so that seeking Your face in all we do comes with ease and excitement. We love You. Amen.
