We Can Trust God for Everything

We Can Trust God for Everything

We can trust God. This verse gives us all we need to know and meditate on when we are feeling doubtful. He is and will take care of all the small and big things in our lives.

We simply need to get out of our own way. We have to humble ourselves to know that all He asks of us is our obedience. When we are obedient He provides. Even when we are not He provides more than we recognize.

It is when we are not obedient that we find ourselves filled with the burden of providing for our outcome. Outcome has never been our job.

This scripture is showing us where our focus should be. It is not to worry about life. Not even about food or what to wear. We can trust that we are most valuable to Him and He will always provide for us.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Matthew 6:25-27 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • How have you taken on the burden of providing and in what ways has it brought worry to your life? Take a moment to write this out and see if you can start to give it to God.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father, Help us to trust You for the smallest things in our lives. We want to trust You for everything. Help us to turn from the world’s understanding of how to provide so that we can follow You and how You provide. Amen.
