In everything we do, it is done, to then give thanks to God. This must be what we are always aiming towards. When we give we are enriched by our giving, because in giving we have to look beyond ourselves. Giving helps us to relinquish our selfish nature. We are the body of Christ. He wants to use us to do His work. Generosity is one of the main ways in which He can use us. Through our generosity to others, they are able to see the hand of God in their lives and give thanks to Him. We are also able to give Him praise in our giving, because He gave us the ability to be used for His work in this way.
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

A Prayer for Our Community:
God, In all we do we want to give You praise and thanks. It is because of You that we have this life. We want to honor the life You have given us, but doing as You command. Help us to give out of a desire to please You. Help us to be Your body in the world so that others may see You in the work we do. Amen.
