Resurrection Power

Resurrection Power

Easter is a short time away. Join us in preparation by looking at what Easter really means. Each week on Wednesday leading up to Easter we will post a brief, but powerful reminder.

God is almighty and all powerful. He makes a way when it seems there is no way. In our sin filled ways we kill everything with our sin. We even killed the author of life. God knows our wickedness and chooses to love us anyway. He saved us the only way we could be saved. Now all we need to do is accept His saving. We too can be raised from the dead. We can choose to be renewed in our hearts and minds each day. As we are witnesses to His death and resurrection, we must now be witnesses to our own death and resurrection. Our life and story is one of resurrection, not of death.

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Acts 3:15 NIV

How powerful! How simple! All we need to do is declare with our mouth that Jesus is Lord. Then we must believe with our heart that God raised Him from the dead and we are saved from death. Eternity is waiting for us. We must let go of this tangible world and lean into forever with God. When we make this choice for the first time it is tremendous. When we make this choice each day it is life changing. Let us declare that Jesus is Lord with every breath we take. Let us believe with our whole hearts that He was raised from the dead. Our lives are in God’s hands. We can trust that with every fiber of our being. We can give Him all the control and put all our energy into believing in Him.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • How is God making a way in your story? Write it out.
  • Do you declare Jesus is Lord each day? Write it down then say it out loud.
